Hugo 2008 Nominees Announced!

Published by donny under Book News

Okay, this is probably old news by now, but better late than never!  The Hugo Awards, one of the most prestigious and well-known awards for speculative fiction has announced the nominees for the 2008 edition of the awards.  Go check it out at http://www.thehugoawards.org/?p=142.

I find it fascinating that Michael Chabon, one of the literati’s favourite sons, has been nominated for The Yiddish Policemen’s Union in the most recognizable spec fiction award.  I wonder what Ursula Le Guin, or indeed, Ruth Franklin, thinks of the nomination.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Bookbabble.net, the home of the Bookbabble podcast!  Thank you for dropping by!

We’re still trying to set things up here, so it’ll look a little disheveled for hopefully a short period of time.  There’s plenty of things left to do to get this site to an acceptable state, so do bear with us.

But do check back often! :)
